UFC sensation Sean O’Malley recently disclosed his preferred opponent for a potential crossover boxing bout, alongside the substantial financial reward he would demand.
Discussions have been rife in recent weeks regarding the exciting prospect of super fights emerging from the convergence of the mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing worlds.
While Ilia Topuria`s challenges to boxing champion Terence Crawford have largely faced skepticism from both fans and fellow athletes, the concept of such crossover events persists.
Among the prominent UFC fighters expressing an interest in exploring this unique path is none other than Sean O’Malley.
Even as O’Malley focuses on an upcoming UFC event rumored for the White House, he was recently prompted to discuss a potential foray into the boxing ring.

Sean O`Malley Reveals $5 Million Would Lure Him to Box Gervonta Davis
This recent discussion on Sean O’Malley’s podcast with coach Tim Welch isn`t the first instance of “Suga” expressing a desire to face a boxing superstar.
Previously, O’Malley had challenged Devin Haney, hoping to draw the high-profile boxer into an MMA fight, a scenario widely considered improbable.
Haney subsequently took the opportunity to mock O’Malley after his submission defeat to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 316 earlier this year.
Despite suggestions of opponents like `The Dream` (Devin Haney) or Ryan Garcia during the podcast, neither emerged as O’Malley`s top choice for a boxing encounter.

The former UFC bantamweight champion then disclosed the financial incentive required for him to pursue such a boxing match, identifying Jake Paul`s upcoming opponent as the formidable boxer he`d most like to challenge.
O’Malley stated, “Honestly, for a quick, substantial payday, I`m all in. I`m thinking around $10 million, but if they offered five, I`d probably say yes. It’s hard to pinpoint. It would be an incredibly tough fight, but I’d much prefer to fight Gervonta Davis.”
This isn`t the first time O’Malley has expressed interest in fighting Davis; he previously challenged the renowned knockout artist during his tenure as a UFC champion.
“Suga” further elaborated that while he recognizes Davis would present an exceptionally tough challenge, he feels his fighting style is particularly well-suited for an opponent like `Tank`.
Sean O`Malley Rumored for UFC Return Against Top-Ranked Contender
In a recent YouTube update, Sean O’Malley addressed ongoing rumors concerning his potential return to the UFC Octagon.
Speculation suggested that “Suga” was in discussions to fight Song Yadong later this year, but O`Malley clarified that no official talks have taken place at this point.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, O’Malley expressed enthusiasm for the potential matchup, hinting that it could indeed materialize.
“Song appears to be an excellent next opponent,” O’Malley commented. “It makes perfect sense, and I genuinely like the matchup; it looks promising.
Regarding timing, he added, “December, January, February, even November – I`m ready. I`m prepared. Call me next week, and I`d likely say it`s too short notice. But yes, I do like the fight, it`s logical.”
He concluded, “I`m healthy, feeling great, and training incredibly hard. Again, I`m excited about that matchup. If `Suga` Sean versus Song is what`s next, then absolutely!”
