It is highly doubtful that Tyson Fury was awake at 4:30 a.m. to witness Anthony Joshua`s decisive victory over Jake Paul. However, upon waking, he surely encountered an inundation of messages centered on one explosive topic: the direct challenge AJ issued ringside.

The collective demand from the fanbase was clear: “Tyson, did you hear what AJ said? You must fight him! And more importantly, fight him next.”

In the quiet hours following Joshuaโ€™s successful, commanding performance, the desperate plea from the boxing world was palpableโ€”begging both champions to make the fight immediately. This means: no tune-up bouts. No unnecessary postponements. No promotional games.

Joshua, it seems, is fully committed. If he was willing to take a high-stakes bout against Paul for a considerable payday, he would undoubtedly jump at the chance to fight Fury for an even more monumental reward.

This long-awaited British heavyweight confrontation no longer needs time to `marinate`โ€”it is arguably several years past its ideal moment. Discussions about future non-Fury opponents (February for Joshua, April for Fury) are senseless. Why risk career-altering injury or a disastrous loss against a perceived underdog before delivering the showdown the entire sporting world demands?

Fury Must Answer the Call

The ball is squarely in Fury`s court. While he has often claimed retirementโ€”even suggesting he wouldn`t return for “ยฃ1 billion”โ€”nothing is more likely to ignite the `Gypsy King`s` competitive spirit than Joshuaโ€™s aggressive call-out, labeling him with the dismissive nickname: “Twitter Fingers.”

“If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is… Step in the ring with me next if you`re a real bad boy. Don`t do all that talking… Let`s see you in a ring and talk with your fists,” Joshua declared after his round six knockout of Paul.

The challenge was calculated, direct, and deeply personal. Joshua knows time is of the essence; despite the delays, this remains an enormous confrontation between two British boxing titans, guaranteed to sell out venues like Wembley Stadium instantly.

Furyโ€™s inherent inability to stay out of the limelight, fueled by the competitive ego common to all elite fighters, was recently demonstrated when he posted a video chastising Joshua for pre-fight comments. Any suggestion that Fury is truly indifferent to the rivalry is pure nonsense.

In his response video, Fury retorted: “Here`s a fun factโ€”if I ever come across you bum, I`m knocking you dead spark out.” That aggressive declaration is the fiery Tyson that fans are desperate to see in action.

We can only hope that his competitive drive is strong enough to pull him back into the ring. Although he announced his retirement in January, he has maintained his physical activity, regularly posting updates about his intensive gym sessions.

Joshua`s recent run-out against Paul, while a victory, did not genuinely test him. He certainly hasn`t gained any significant competitive edge over Fury from the Miami exhibition.

There is absolutely no need for further delays, warm-ups, or prolonged build-up. The fighters are ready, the demand is overwhelming, and the money is generational.

Therefore, for the sake of the sport and the fans worldwide, sign the contracts, announce the date, touch gloves, and let the biggest British heavyweight clash finally begin.
